| 英文描述 | Usually affects very young sheep, 12-72 hours old most susceptible, but occasionally has been diagnosed in feedlot lambs. Due to CLOSTRIDIUM PERFRINGENS type C, the same organism that produces 'struck' in adult sheep. Dx by demonstration of the organism and the beta toxin at necropsy, accompanied by a hemorrhagic enteritis. Affected animals die so quickly that treatment is not usually attempted. Vaccines are available. |
